BE inspired with beautiful craftsmanship at Kent Adult Education’s Open Evening at the Astor Theatre.

The event on Wednesday, 26 October, from 6pm to 8pm, will include demonstrations of stained glass, jewellery-making, upholstery, pottery, sugarcraft and Tai Chi in the beautiful Edwardian Astor Theatre in Stanhope Road.

There is a chance to take part in a free Tai Chi taster class at 6.30pm and there are goody bags and refreshments on offer.

Promotions and Events Coordinator Joanna Eve said: “This evening will be a great opportunity to meet some of our experienced tutors, and see first hand the skills they use to make beautiful crafts.

“Tai Chi tutor Gill Walshe will be offering a free taster session from 6.30pm to 7.30pm. She teaches Wundang Tai Chi and Chi Kung, which is a slowly-performed routine made up of 32 postures. Gill has been involved in the fitness industry for more than 10 years, and has specialised in Tai Chi and other martial arts for the past five.”

To book your place for Tai Chi, email joanna.eve@kent.gov.uk or call 01843 256223, and just come along on the night for a look at what Kent Adult Education can offer you.
