Betteshanger Brass Academy and the Northbourne Park Community Band

Betteshanger Brass Academy was founded in 2003 as a training band for the senior Betteshanger Welfare Band.
The band began with a few young players but soon increased its numbers and many have gone on to join the senior band. The band was refounded in 2009 as Betteshanger Brass Academy and has a growing membership of players aged from ten to older than we are prepared to say. We are still keen to gain new members—particularly on the cornet. Today the number of Brass Bands are dwindling and BBA is the only training band in East Kent and is grateful for support from many members of the local Brass Band community
