Harold Chapman - BOHEMIAN PARIS PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION

Saturday 25th June to Sunday 3rd July
In 1957 the Beat artists and writers converged on a small hotel in Paris and a young English photographer, Harold Chapman, became the great chronicler of the Beat Hotel and its legendary inhabitants. When the hotel closed in the 60s, Chapman moved on but his work has continued, to this day, to attract worldwide attention and acclaim, characterised by pervasive moody anxiety and quirky wit. Born and now resident in Deal, Chapman's work has been shown from Kent to Cape Town, California to Dusseldorf.
