Balalaika

Friday 9th December, 7.30pm
Balalaika is a five-piece group specialising in both Russian and Jewish music. Their tunes come from Steppe and Shtetl, inspired by the mighty mountain ash and the little snowball tree, reflecting the authentic sounds of the Cossack dancer, the gypsy tinker, the Jewish Klezmer musician and the muscovite street urchin. The group play on traditional acoustic instruments. Come and enjoy a performance combining these two exciting traditions.
