The Quartet

A jazz-rock synthesis echoing the 70s Canterbury sound, Miles Davis, Charlie Mingus et al.  The foursome's beautiful and tense compositions allow for explosive improvisation by some of the UK's finest musicians, and has led to sessions on Radio 6 and high profile festival appearances.  The performance will include two poets (Simon Smith and David Herd) performing a piece called Rote:Through that was comissioned and performed at the Sounds New Festival 2011
