Chalkfoot Theatre presents Running For Glory

Sunday 1st April, Starts 7.30pm - Theatre Seating
‘Running for Glory’ is a unique blend of theatre and sporting spectacle, following the lives of an elite group of British athletes (featured in the film ‘Chariots of Fire’) as they blaze their way to glory at the 1924 Paris Olympics.
Young track stars Harold Abrahams and Eric Liddell could not have been more different as sportsmen and individuals. While Abrahams was one of the first exponents of professional training, Liddell won astonishing victories on little more than blind faith.
Written by Philip Dart with movement direction by acclaimed choreographer Lawrence Evans, this exciting new play explores the personalities and tensions behind one of Britain’s greatest sporting triumphs: recreating all the excitement of an Olympic race for the small stage.
